Tampere Indoor Meeting 21.1.2026
Talven kovatasoisin yleisurheilukisa kotimaassa kilpaillaan keskiviikkona 21.1.2026 Tampereen Messu- ja Urheilukeskuksessa.
Vuosittainen Tampere Indoor Meeting kokoaa kotimaiset kärkinimet ja kansainväliset huiput neljättä kertaa Pirkkahalliin. Seuraa kilpailujen Instagram-tiliä, ja näet ketkä ovat mukana kisoissa!
Kilpailu kuuluu kansainväliseen World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver -sarjaan, joka tuo kovia kansainvälisiä urheilijoita keräämään ranking-pisteitä talven arvokisoihin. Arvokisafinalisteja on runsain mitoin mukana, olympiafinalisteista lähtien. Ja totta kai myös kotimaiset huiput.
Hallikisojen etuna pääset ihailemaan tolkutonta vauhtia, voimaa ja taitoa lähimmillään metrin päästä radasta. Tätä tunnelmaa et pääse kokemaan kuin paikan päällä!

Instructions for the athletes / Urheilijaohjeet
Welcome to the 4th Tampere Indoor Meeting! Competition will take place January 21st, 2026 in Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre, the home of many international athletics events.
The spacious competition hall has 300-metre running track with six lanes. The hall fits full scale football pitch, so there is plenty of space also for field events. You will be positively surprised!
Stands take 1500 spectators and they are located close to the track. The atmosphere is always world class helping athletes to record-breaking performances.
Warm-up environment is perfect for an indoor competition. There is a separate warm-up hall right across the corridor from the competition hall. In the warm-up hall there is an 80 m straight track and additional space for field events warm-up. Free weights complete this perfect warm-up area.
Tampere Indoor Meeting will be televised with a full-scale TV production.

Confirmation of participation, bibs and entrance passes
The organizer has the right to limit the athletes accepted to competition. Athletes are selected primarily based on the results of the current season’s and 2025 outdoor season’s results.
All athletes will receive two bibs (high jump one) and eight (8) pins. Bibs must be picked up and confirmation of participation must be made latest 90 minutes before the start of the event at the competition office.
Each athlete will receive one entrance pass and one accreditation card for a coach. Accreditation card allows access to warm-up area and tribune.
Field layout

Competition office / Technical information center
Competition office is located in Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre, on the left immediately after the entrance to the hall.
Competition office opens at 15:30.
Warm-up
Hall B serves as warm-up venue for the athletes. Access to warm-up area is restricted to athletes and coaches.
Changing rooms and toilets
Changing rooms and toilets are by the corridor leading to hall B.
Call room
Call room is located in hall B, which is also the warm-up hall. Athletes must report to the call room by the scheduled call room time.
Once athletes have reported to the call room, they will not be permitted to leave. All necessary information concerning the competition will be provided to the athletes in the call room. The call room officials will verify the accreditation, competition number, shoes and personal effects of the athletes. All athletes will be escorted from the call room to the competition area.

Mixed zone
Mixed zone is located in hall B.
Competition site exit procedures
In field events, athletes will leave the field of play after the event together with a judge. There will be toilets for athletes during the competition, but it is necessary to get permission from a judge to use the toilets during the competition.
In running events, athletes must leave the competition area and proceed through the mixed zone where track athletes will collect their personal belongings.
Personal items
Athletes are not allowed to use in the competition area tape recorders, radios, mobile phones, cameras or any other electronic devices.
Coaches
Coaches have reserved areas in the tribune or outside the track close to the event location. The exception is women’s shot put where coaches are seated infield. Coaches can enter infield only together with athletes via call room according to the call room schedule.
Qualification rounds
If there are 3 heats, 2 first places from each heat and two fastest times advance to the final.
If there are 2 heats, 3 first places from each heat and two fastest times advance to the final.
In case an athlete withdraws from the final, we request that the athlete informs the competition office of the withdrawal as early as possible. In this case, the first athlete eliminated from the final after the heats will be allocated a place in the finals. Final time for changes is 30 minutes before the start of the final.
Starter’s commands
The starter’s commands are as follows:
”On your marks” – ”Set” – ”Shot” (The Gun fired).
They will (if necessary) interrupt the start with the command: ”Stand up”
Electronic Gun is used.
Athlete presentations
Athletes will be introduced before the event starts. In running events presentation is done only for finals. During the introductions, all lights in the hall will be turned off.
Medical
Medical staff will be present at the infield and there’s also a separate space for medical services between the tribunes.
Advertising on clothing or equipment
The WA advertising rules will be enforced. Specifically, please note the following:
Manufacturers logo – Maximum of 30 cm2 rectangle with the lettering a maximum height of 4 cm and the total logo a maximum height of 5 cm. The identification of the manufacturer may appear only once on the front.
Athlete’s name – Displayed on the front and/or back of the vest. The maximum height of such display shall be 4 cm.
Club name or Club sponsor or Club logo – maximum of 40 cm2 rectangle, with the lettering a maximum height of 4 cm, if printed directly onto the shirt or the size of the patch.
Internet connection
There is wireless network available free of charge. The name of the network is Seutu Wireless. You can access the network for 12 hours at a time by identifying yourself with an email address.
Protests and appeals
Protests concerning the conduct or the result of an event, should be made immediately to the referee of the event. The decision of the referee is final. There is no Jury of Appeal.
Technical meeting
There will be no technical meeting. Instead athletes are requested to send their questions to competition instructions and other technical questions to the Competition Director Jukka Hosio by email to the address jukka.hosio@outlook.com latest 12.00 Finnish time on the competition day.
Shoe control
Shoe control will be performed during the meeting.
Anti-doping
Anti-doping testing will be by Finnish Anti-doping Agency (SUEK) conducted during the meeting. Athletes are required to have a passport or a valid ID with them.

Median akkreditointi
Mediaa pyydetään akkreditoitumaan su 18.1. mennessä oheisella lomakkeella: Median akkreditointi TIM 21.1.2026
Median edustajat saavat kisakansliasta akkreditointikortin, kunhan ovat akkreditoituneet lomakkeella määräaikaan mennessä. Kisakanslia sijaitsee Pirkkahallin sisääntuloaulassa. Akkreditointikortin kanssa kulku median tilaan.
Valokuvaajat
Valokuvaavat saavat kuvausliivin, joka pitää olla päällä kilpailualueella liikkuessa. Kuvausliivin saa SUL:n viestintäpäällikkö Tapio Nevalaiselta.
Median tila
Median edustajille on varattu oma kirjoitustila A-hallin katsomon ylätasanteelta. Mediatilassa on käytössä langaton Wireless Tampere -internetyhteys. Tarjolla on kahvia, teetä ja vettä sekä pientä purtavaa.
Pysäköinti
Tampereen messu- ja urheilukeskuksen pysäköintipaikoilla on tilaa. Huomioithan kiristyneet pysäköintiohjeet ja noudatat niitä. Tapahtuman järjestäjä ei vastaa pysäköinnistä.
